Description

THIS IS A HUBZone COMPETETIVE SET-ASIDE. PROJECT DETAILS: CA PFH 169-1(1) Old Red Bluff Road is a bridge replacement project located approximately 6 miles northwest of Chester, California on Plumas County Road 312. The proposed bridge spans Warner Creek approximately 0.5 mile from the confluence with North Fork Feather River. The proposed 120 foot long bridge spans the creek in it's entirely with footings and abutments constructed well above the normal high water elevation for Warner Creek. The proposed bridge is located south of the existing single lane bridge that is to be removed under the construction contract. Under the proposed construction contract approaches will be constructed east and west of the bridge to tie into the existing Old Red Bluff Road. Due to the re-location of the crossing, the proposed project includes construction of an approach road to the Forest Service High Bridge Campground. Significant item of work under the proposed contract includes: · 20401-0000 Roadway Excavation 52000 CUYD · 20441-0000 Waste 40000 CUYD · 30802-2000 Roadway Aggregate, Method 2 4800 Ton · 40301-0000 H ot Asphalt Concrete Pavement 2000 Ton · 55201-0200 Structural Concrete, Class A(AE) 208 CUYD · 55302-3600 Precast, Prestressed Concrete Bulb Tee Girders (CALTRANS 1550) 476 LNFT · 55401-1000 Reinforcing Steel 4700 LB · 55401-2000 Reinforcing Steel, Epoxy Coated 25400 LB It is anticipated that this project will be advertised on September 20th, 2011 with a bid opening date of October 20, 2011. Estimated cost is $4.5 to $7.0 million.
