Description
Statement of Work This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Department of Labor, OASAM Office of Procurement Services, on behalf of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration intends to procure Laboratory Aide Support Services for the Directorate of Technical Support and Emergency Management (DTSEM), Salt Lake Technical Center (SLTC). Specifically, the OSHA is seeking a contractor to provide a Laboratory Aide/Technician who will primarily be responsible for analytical glassware inventory, preparation, cleaning, monthly inspections of the safety showers and eye washes in the laboratory area and monthly checks of the fire extinguishers (See attached SOW). The period of performance is for 12 months from date of contract award. This action will result in a Labor Hour contract with no option periods. Solicitation number DOL111RQ21357 is applicable and is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this contract action is 561320 and the small business size standard is $13.5 million. The anticipated award date is 23 September 2011. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. Award of this contract will be made on a competitive Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis. The Government will award a contract resulting from this RFQ to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the RFQ offers the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable to the Government. Questions regarding this RFQ must be submitted in writing to the POC not later than 12:00PM EST on Friday, September 9, 2011. Your offer must cite your Cage Code and Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS). Please ensure that your firm is CCR Certified ( http://www.ccr.gov ). All quotes must be submitted to the Point of Contact (POC) via email no later than 12:00PM EST on Monday, September 19, 2011. Failure to submit timely will exclude the proposal from consideration.
