Vehicle Picture. SF-1449 Combined synopsis/solicitation FORT CARSON, COLORADO BRIDGE INSPECTION UNDERBRIDGE INSPECTION VEHICLE AUGUST 2011 SCOPE OF WORK PURPOSE The purpose of this scope of work is to acquire under bridge inspection vehicle services for highway and rail bridge inspections at Fort Carson, Colorado. (Colorado Springs, Colorado) SCOPE An under bridge inspection vehicle is needed to inspect the underside of several bridges at Fort Carson, Colorado. The inspection vehicle should be a Reach-All model UB50 or an equivalent inspection vehicle. The equivalent inspection vehicle(s) should be able to provide access to both rail and roadway bridges, have a similar range, reach and maneuverability of the UB 50, without exceeding the applied loading conditions of the UB 50. The equipment shall be in good working condition and the contractor is responsible for providing a qualified operator for the equipment. Pricing for the equipment shall include all miscellaneous expenses, e.g. parts, fuel, lubricants, to keep the equipment in good working condition. The Government will not be responsible for payment of downtime due to mechanical failure, the lack of a qualified operator, or any other reason within the control of, or due to the fault or neglect of, the contractor. TRAFFIC CONTROL Traffic control will be provided by the Government. SCHEDULE The equipment is needed for a maximum of five days starting on Saturday October 1. The contractor will be given a five day notice of the exact work dates. ATTACHMENTS Pictures of the bridges requiring an under bridge inspection vehicle at Fort Carson.
