Description

This is a notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source contract using other than full and open competition procedures under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Staar Surgical Co., Monrovia, CA for the patented Visian IOL collamer material implantable contact lens for treatment of myopia and ohter refractive eye errors. No compatable or substitutes are acceptable. This will be a requirements type contract for a base and three (3) one year option periods beginning 1 Oct 11. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely witin the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses are due not later than 10:00 a.m. EST 12 September 11 to Sandra.Z.Bulls@us.army.mil. No telephone requests will be accepted.
