Description
This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors to provide all labor, material, and equipment to Remove Two Existing HVAC Units and Replace with Two New HVAC Units of 10% Increased Capacity in the Technical Control Room of Bldg 585, Naval Air Station 2, Sigonella, Sicily, Italy by means of a firm-fixed-price construction contract. All contractors proposing on Department of Defense solicitations must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of the contract. The requirements will be procured utilizing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220. The estimated price range is between ‚¬18,030 Euro and ‚¬72,120 Euro. The anticipated period of performance is 150 calendar days. The anticipated requirement includes but is not limited to all labor, material, and equipment to remove the two existing HVAC units in the Technical Control Room of Building 585 and properly dispose off-base, and provide and install two new HVAC units in the Technical Control Room complete of external condensing units and internal compressors with evaporating AHUs and all necessary piping. Anticipated requirements also include testing and balancing both of the new HVAC systems, repairing and patching walls at pipe crossing, and relocation of all raised floor tiles to match existing. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Corps of Engineers Safety Manual, EM-385-1-1, the most current version, and in accordance with all applicable Italian safety laws. Bidders can view and/or download the solicitation via the European Navy Electronic Commerce Online (EURONECO) website at https://euro.neco.navy.mil when it becomes available. All interested offerors shall register at this website. However, registration does not release bidders from the responsibility of checking the solicitation daily for any amendments or other notices pertaining to this solicitation. The solicitation is expected to be posted to EURONECO on 12 September 2011. Quotes are expected to be due by close of business on 23 September 2011. All dates are tentative and are subject to change. This is an internet only solicitation so paper copies will not be provided. Pre-bid conference and site visit information will be indicated on the solicitation documents.
