Description
Amendment No. 2 is issued to Solicitation Document No. A11PS01333 as follows: 1. Fiberquant Test document, dated 08-30-2011, is provided (attached to this notice). 2. RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS is provided. QUESTION 1: In the solicitation amendment under the Heading "DISPOSAL OF DEMOLISHED MATERIALS" Paragraph 2 states "The contractor shall determine if hazardous materials (lead-based paints, Possible Asbestos Containing Materials) reside in the building's structure, components, or assemblies based upon a site survey/inspection. The removal and disposal of hazardous materials shall comply with applicable regulations, laws and ordinances." Are we supposed to have the roof and any paint associated with our roof demolition tested for asbestos and lead prior to the bid? Or are we to assume hazardous materials in our bid and include pricing for Asbestos and lead abatement? Or are we to have the material tested after award and prior to start up, and then submit a change order for abatement of hazardous materials as needed? RESPONSE: Testing from Fiberquant Analytical Service report show negative for asbestos and lead-base paint. QUESTION 2: Can these roofs be tested by a third party prior to bid so that we can all bid apples for apples? RESPONSE: Roof tested twice, we tested with a third party who are- Fiberquant. QUESTION 3: The gutter specification in the "Scope of Services" section says, "Gutters shall be 6 - inch sealess 24 gauge Kynar with 20 yr. warranty or equivalent." I believe the "sealess" is supposed to be seamless, however 24 gauge kynar can NOT come in a seamless form. We can supply 24 gauge Kynar gutters with seams or Aluminum Seamless gutters. Do you want Aluminum Seamless or 24 gauge Kynar finished? RESPONSE: We will accept 24 gauge, aluminum seamless gutters, with 20 year warranty.
