- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This is in support of market research being conducted to identify capable potential sources and to establish if this requirement can be set-aside for small business or other socio-economic program set-asides. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District is getting ready to advertise a FFP commercial supply item solicitation for one (1) 600 lb capacity portable personnel hoist, air or electrically driven to be delivered FOB destination to the John Day Dam, located in Rufus, Oregon. The Contractor shall provide all materials, tools, equipment, and labor necessary to design, fabricate and deliver a portable guided two-man personnel hoist system meeting the ANSI A10.22 specifications, and designed to work within the geometry of the John Day main unit spiral cases, as shown on the attached sketch. A site visit will be held at a later, to be determined date to for potential interested offerors to investigate field conditions, and verify dimensions to ensure the design will work within the existing geometry of the generator floor openings. The solicitation will state that the contractor shall deliver the complete system, ready for installation and testing by the government, within 18 weeks from date of award. When you provide your notice of interest, please verify if your company can or cannot provide the product, including delivery and finalized OM manuals, within this designated time period. A drafted Scope of Work and an attachment for the spiral case access drawing has been included only for reference. This is a drafted specification and shall be used for informational purposes only. The size standard is 500 employees. The FSC Code is 3950.
