- Description
- The USDA, Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration, Technical Services Division (GIPSA TSD) has a requirement to purchase a Single Dimensional Gas Chromatography-Olfactory System and MicroAnalytics AromaTrax Aroma Characterization and Identification Software, Version 9.10. The software must meet the following specific requirements: 1) Must work with an Agilent Gas Chromatrograph Model 6890 (or higher) with Flame Ionization Detector (FID). 2) Fully compatible with all Windows® Operating Systems 3) Allows single key input of odor notes and provides fully-labeled soft keys to all rapid operator input of odor notes as detected via touch screen/mouse interface. 4) Direct overlay of aromagrams and GC/MSD signal files. This is critical as it allows for better characterization of the aromas (more sensitive when it comes to identifying chemical compounds that are associated with aroma/flavor descriptors). 5) User defined custom aroma panels and aroma/odor descriptors. 6) Resizable aroma panel with easy to read aroma buttons (soft keys). 7) Audio announcement of odor notes as selected and the intensity recorded. 8) Sizable main window that adapts to any monitor resolution. 9) USB interface to allow connection to GC or GC/MS system with Windows® operating system (no drivers or special software necessary for installation) 10) Data analysis section for comparison and data analysis as well as report generation. 11) One year free upgrades of software. 12) Import/export functions to/from Agilent Chemstation Productivity software (all versions). Procurement Note 22. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
