Description
The USPFO for California intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to Kingsway Industries, Inc. to perform hydrostatic testing of the Tri-Max 30 compressed air foam fire suppression system, replace check valves, relief valves, and flapper valves, and perform a system test and provide operator training in the use of the system. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Kingsway Industries is the manufacturer of the compressed air foam fire suppression system, and is the only entity authorized to perform testing and repair of the system. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent to award a contract is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and phone requests will not be accepted. However, any company that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer with ten (10) calendar days from the date of the publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement to perform hydrostatic testing and repair of the Tri-Max compressed air foam fire suppression system, for quantity eighty-three (83) bottles, including the following: Hydrostatic testing of TM30 air bottles; hydrostatic testing of TM30 Solution Tank; hydrostatic testing of TM30 Discharge Hose; replacement of TM30 low pressure check valve; replacement of TM30 pressure relief valve; replacement of TM30 high pressure check valve; replacement of TM30 flapper valve; Installation of Aqua Adjustable Regulator Repair Kit; Installation of TM30 Purge Kit; perform TM30 System functional test; perform operator training in the use of the system at the Kingsway Industries factory in Redding, CA.
