Description

This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a pre-solicitation only. Responses to this pre-solicitation are not considered as responses to the solicitation announcement. This procurement has been set-aside for small businesses only. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this Pre-Solicitation announcement. The Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Activity, is seeking small business contractors to provide all management, labor, supervision, and transportation, packaging, pick-up, disposable containers with labeling, equipment, waste manifest and required reports and disposal of RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) hazardous and non-hazardous Pharmaceutical Waste in accordance with all applicable Food and Drug Administration and Federal Regulations. Contractor is to provide all installation of disposable RCRA Hazardous Pharmaceutical Waste Container and installation of Re-Usable Non-Hazardous. The contractor will be required to provide the services for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and its participating facilities. If you are interested, and are capable of providing the required services please provide the requested information as indicated below. The intended contract period will be for a base year and four, one year option periods, which is to begin on or about October 01, 2011. Response to this notice should include company name, address, and point of contact and size of business. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed, mailed or faxed to the attention of Alfreda Hunter, Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Activity, 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 90822-5201. Fax number is (562) 961-1389. E-mail address: alfreda.hunter@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 4:00 pm on September 2, 2011. A solicitation will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this Pre-Solicitation is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
