Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), with National Instruments Corporation, 11500N. Mopac Expressway, Austin, TX 78759 for the following items to be compatible with existing NI equipment, PXI Data Acquisition System: A modular measurement system that will be used to develop a capacitance measurement bridge system to provide traceability for the new NIST calculable capacitor. Part #: 779383-01 Chassis with AC/DC Power: PXI-1036DC, 6-Slot 3U Chassis with AC/DC Power Supply for 1-Slot or 2-Slot Remote or Embedded Controllers Part #: 763000-01 Power Cord: AC, U.S., 120 VAC, 2.3 meters Part #: 778641-10 Remote PC Controller: NI PXI-PC18336 MXI-4 Kit with Fiber Cable (isolated), 10m. Part #: 960903-05 Service & Parts Warranty: NI Premium System Assurance Program for PXI - *5 Year warranty to include repairs and calibrations.* Part #: 779153-01 Flexible Resolution 2 ch Digitizer: NI PXI-5922 2 ch Digitizer with 8 MB/ch Part #: 779687-01 Dynamic Signal Acquisition and Generation: NI PXI-4461-24 Bit Sigma-Delta ADC's, 204.8 kS/s Max Samp Rate, 2 Input/2 Output Simultaneous, Anti-Aliasing Filters, IEIPE, 118 dB Dynamic Range. Based on NIST's recent market research, NIST has only identified the one source that can provide the required request National Instruments Corporation, 11500N. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; however, companies that believe they can fulfill the requirement may provide a written response to this notice and provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate that capability. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition.
