- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A LIMITED SOURCE DELIVERY ORDER VIA A GSA MANDATORY SOURCE using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 16.505(B)(2)(ii). This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground Installation Contracting Division 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013, has a requirement to procure the following items: Item: 1 each, Thermo Electron, Nicolet FT-IR, Raman IN10 Microscopy Spectrometer and Imagining System The intended delivery date for the item(s) is September 7th, 2011. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Thermo Electron North America, LLC. This firm is the sole developer/manufacturer /distributor of the product no other source will stratify the Governments requirement. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the Business Size Standard is 500. All responses received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, September 2nd, 2011. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
