- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), intends to procure the items listed below from Fluidigm Corporation. The Institute intends to purchase this software by other than full and open competition under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302. The items in the proposed contract are: Eight (8) 96.96 Biomark Gene Expression (GE) Dynamic Arrays Sample/Loading Kit; package shall include the following: 10 96.96 GE Dynamic Arrays; 20 syringes of control line fluid; 2 tubes of assay loading reagent; 2 tubes of DNA binding dye sample loading reagent. Ten (10) 48.48 Biomark DNA Binding Dye Kits; package shall include the following: 10 48.48 Biomark GE Dynamic Arrays; 20 syringes of control line fluid; 1 tube of assay loading reagent; 1 tube of DNA binding dye sample loading reagent. Seventy-one (71) DELTAgene Assays; assays shall be wet lab tested (on Dynamic Array Integrated Fluidic Circuit (IFC)) gene expression qPCR assays; use EvaGreen detection; be provided in volume sufficient for at least 100 inlets in dynamic array IFCs. The Laboratory at the NIH uses the Biomark system to perform high-throughput gene quantification. The dynamic array chips are supplies used in operation of the biomark system. This is proprietary technology that cannot be supplied by any other vendor and must be obtained from Fluidigm, the manufacturer of the biomark system. The DETLAgene assays are customized primers, specifically designed for a research project being carried out. In order to continue the research projects performed by the lab, more chips and reagents are needed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within 15 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
