Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), has a requirement to procure a mouse wireless blood pressure monitoring system. This is not set aside for small businesses. The system shall provide the following features: Continuously monitor systolic and diastolic blood pressure; continuously monitor other parameters (heart rate, ECG, and locomotor activity); switch on and off at any time to allow a flexible timeline for measurements; provide the physiological measurements during active and resting/sleeping periods of the mice; measure mice without placing them into a holder; does not require acclimation periods before measurements; provide an internal sensor implanted into the aorta to monitor internal systolic and diastolic blood pressure; obtain information from up to 16 mice; shall be capable of being reused; shall be able to be used on pregnant mice, without being placed into a small tube in order to avoid various stress conditions. This system shall include four (4) transmitters; four (4) receivers for plastic cages; one (1) ambient pressure measuring device; one (1) data exchange software package; one (1) 19" computer monitor; and one (1) computer with Windows 7. Interested vendors capable of providing the Government with the equipment specified above should submit their quotation to the below address. It is anticipated that the Request for Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NICHD-11-093-1 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due seven (7) days after the release of the RFQ. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing to 6100 Executive Blvd, Room 5Z00, Rockville, MD 20852 or via email to: muckt@mail.nih.gov prior to the closing date of this notice or before September 7 at 12:00 pm (NOON) EST. All requests for quotations must have a valid email address. Email quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and an authorized company representative signature.
