- Description
- The VA Contracting Activity VISN 22 intends to negotiate a commercial FAR ( PART 12) Sole source procurement with Mount Sinai School of Medicine located at 1 Gustave L Levy Place, New York, NY 10029-6500. This Procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 only once responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 205-38. A justification for sole source has been prepared in support of t his acquisition. This BOS announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. Request or Quotation is RFQ VA-262-11-RQ-0976. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611310 and the small business size standard is considered, 7.0 M. The Mount Sinai School of Medicine is one of the nation's leading medical school and ranks 18th out of 126 medical schools nationwide. The Geriatric Scholars Program is a national workforce development program that is funded by a Grant from the Office of Rural Health. The opportunity to enroll in the Geriatric Scholars Program is announced by Deputy Under Secretary for Health for Operations and Management to the Network Directors. Each VA Network selects candidates for the program. The intensive course is a mandatory component of the Geriatric Scholars Program. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government shall consider all proposals received by 3:00 PM Pacific Standard Time August 26th, 2011. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. NO solicitation document exists and no telephone inquires shall be accepted.
