Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis publishes a Request for Proposal (RFP). The US Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District has need for a hand held X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) Analyzer. The requirements are as follows: Able to analyze all elements from magnesium (Mg) through uranium (U), without use of a vacuum Detection limits of the "light" elements (magnesium through chlorine) must be less than 1% Must be capable of analyzing lead paint on a surface Must have an x-ray tube source and NOT an isotope source Must include test stand Must include a soil extension pole Must include manufacturer's reporting and data management software (including spectral overlays and report generation) for use on a PC Must include a sub-meter accuracy GPS unit with all software needed for operation already installed Must include software (third-party) for advanced spatial data visualization and analysis Must have an integrated camera with zoom capability Trade-In value for an existing Innov-X Alpha series XRF and test stand. The due date for responses to this RFP is 26 August 2011 at 4 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) 26 August 2011. Please respond electronically with your offer to the following addressees: L.
