Description

Description: This announcement provides public notification that the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Acquisition Logistics and Construction, National Acquisition Center, Business Resource Service, Hines, IL intends to enter into a sole source contract with Anbex Inc. of Williamsburg, VA for 240 cases (72,000 packs of 14) Iosat Tablets (Potassium Iodide) 130 mg, in the replacement of expiring inventory associated with VA All Hazards Cache (An Emergency Preparedness Initiative). To the best of our knowledge, Anbex Inc. of Williamsburg, VA is the only contractor that provides such a product. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 325412. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements as stated herein, they must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer within five (05) days from the date of this publication/announcement, accompanied by supporting evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability of a firm to comply with the above requirement. Evidence shall also include FDA approval/compliance certification. Responses received will be evaluated. However, information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the so stated product and packaging and quantity to the VA, within the specified time frame. If no responses are received within the stated time frame, the VA will proceed with the intended sole source contract award.
