Location maps are attached. The award will consist of one contract for all sites. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, plant materials, and incidentals to complete the reforestation project. SCOPE OF WORK: Approximately 1,492 acres will be planted to one year old bare root hardwood seedlings between December 2011 and April 2012 in accordance with the Tennessee NRCS Tree Planting Specification. Species shall consist of primarily bottomland oaks. Additional work shall consist of tree site preparation, which will include more intensive treatments such as mechanical (e.g. bushogging, disking), chemical (herbicide applications), or biological (prescribed burning) treatments on approximately 186 acres, and minimal site preparation relative to crop residue on approximately 1,306 acres scheduled to be cropped the summer of 2011. Site preparation may begin in the month of November. Some acres may be subject to frequent flooding or ponding and may be best suited to hand planting. Estimated performance time is 142 calendar days. PRICE: The Government estimated price range for the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code 115112 has a small business size standard of $7 million in average annual revenues. The Solicitation and site showing information will be posted on or around September 1, 2011.
