Description
Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source purchase order indicated for field Portable Fluorometer. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Acquisition Management in Washington, D.C. intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Sitelab Corporation under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.301-1, Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures. No solicitation or request for quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. It has been determined that Site-lab Corporation is uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government?s requirements. The indicated Field Portable Fluorometer Site-Lab UVF-3100A analyzer was being used by ERT?s contract field lab in the pass years to help delineate Aromatics compounds at several superfund sites. At this time Site-lab is the sole source provider/distributor of the UVF-3100A analyzer. This instrument will serve a dual purpose in analyzing samples on hazardous waste sites and provide secondary data during an oil spill response under the smart protocol. It includes analyzer with GRO/BTEX and TPH/DRO optical filters. Analyzer has a 1-year warranty. Also includes field case CD-Rom with manual and software sample preparation tools case with solvent bottle digital scale spatulas, test tubes rack, adjustable pipette tissue wipes and two glass cuvettes. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA?s requirement as stated herein may submit a capability statement, which if received within seven (7) calendar days of the date of this announcement will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government. Please send your response to: irby.kenneth@epa.gov. NO CALLS PLEASE!!! A determination not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
