Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) F4D3D91189A001. This procurement is being issued as a 100% small business set-aside. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition 2005-53,and DFARS Change Notice 20110725. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) 333319 and Size Standard of 500 employees apply to this procurement. "Notice to Offerors: Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs." STATEMENT OF WORK: PURPOSE: This requirement is urgent and compelling to ensure public health and safety directives and regulations are being met during the Aquatic Center Facility operations. The base swimming pool must have 24/7 capability of monitoring the pool water chemistry and chemically treating "disinfecting" the contained water volume of the base swimming pool. Contractor: The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, supervision of personnel, tools, materials, and equipment (to include specialize equipment and tools) to safely perform and accomplish the following installation. The contractor shall professionally install components key to the base Aquatic Center Facility water treatment processes and water system operations. The contractor shall remove and dispose all existing nonoperational chlorine generator equipment and support components. Additionally, the contractor shall dispose of all unused materials from the site upon completion. Task: Remove old chlorine generator unit and water softener cylinders. Install and connect one new MC-100 Micro-Clor Multi-Cell Sodium Hypochlorite Generator, or equivalent at the Aquatic Center Facility (Facility 10144) with the capable of producing 100 pounds of Sodium Hypochlorite per day. Connect and secure new Sodium Hypochlorite Generator into existing sodium hypochlorite holding tank and brine storage container. Install and secure new Kinetico Dual Tank Model CP 208s, or equivalent water softener unit. Set up unit program operations, test unit functions, and ensure equipment meets Vandenberg AFB water treatment plant operational requirements, environmental requirements, and California State water treatment regulations. The volumes and dimensions of the pools are as follows: Main Pool: 83'X64'X6.5', 260,000 gallons, approximately Kid's Pool: 32'X20.5'X2.83'(Average depth), 16,763 gallons, approximately. 3. RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS. The following Federal Legal Holidays are observed by Vandenberg AFB.
