- This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors to provide Roof Repairs at Building 829/830, Naval Air Station, Sigonella, Sicily, Italy by means of a firm fixed price construction contract. The contract duration shall be 90 calendar days from award. All contractors proposing on Department of Defense Solicitations must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of the contract. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. No information exists on prior contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238160. Contractors will be required to be certified in compliance with the Societa Organis d Attestazione (SOA) and provide proof of the certification with the submission of the firms offer. The classification is as follows: Prevailing category OG1, Class I. The estimated price range for the firm fixed price is between ‚¬72,120 and ‚¬180,300 Euros. The anticipated requirement includes removal and replacement of existing membranes, removal and replacement of existing roof insulation, remove and replacement of existing perimeter metal flashing, removal and replacement of existing joint cover metal flashing, enlarge existing outlet holes toward exiting metal scupper, removal and replacement of existing metal scupper and downspouts, temporary removal and reinstallation of mechanical equipments to allow roof system replacement, etc. Interior work includes replacement of damaged suspended ceiling tiles including metal supporting structure. Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation via the European Navy Electronic Commerce Online (EURONECO) website at https://euro.neco.navy.mil when it becomes available. All interested offerors shall register at this website. However, registration does not release bidders from the responsibility of checking the solicitation daily for any amendments or other notices pertaining to this solicitation. The solicitation is expected to be posted on 30 August 2011. Bids are expected to be due on 9 September 2011 at 2:00PM Central European Time (CET). All dates are tentative and are subject to change. This is an internet only solicitation so paper copies will not be provided. Pre bid conference and site visit information will be indicated on the solicitation documents.
