- NASA/SSC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for PlatinumResistance Temperatures DetectorsTHIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR) 10.002(b)(2)(i) this notice is issued for the purpose of market research. Marketresearch is being conducted to determine if there are SMALL BUSINESSES,SMALLDISADVANTAGED BUSINESS, CERTIFIED 8(A) SMALL BUSINESS, HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS,WOMAN-OWNEDSMALL BUSINESS, VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS, HBCU/MI, SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNEDSMALL BUSINESS MINORITY-OWNED FIRMS, WOMAN-OWNED FIRMS, SMALL AND SMALL DISADVANTAGEDBUSINESS FIRMS with the capabilities and experience regarding the manufacture anddelivery of approximately fourteen (14) Platinum Resistance Temperature Detectors (PRTDS)to Stennis Space Center, MS. All Platinum Resistance Temperature Detectors shall be incompliance with NASA Specification 200GT-GF07, Rev 1 dated July 15, 2011. The information provided will be used to determine whether to issue the proposedsolicitation as a competitive set-aside or whether to issue as full and open competition(unrestricted). The information provided will not be disclosed out of the agency and noreimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information inresponse to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. Submission of anyinformation in response to this sources sought notice is completely voluntary.ALLINTERESTED PARTIES are invited to submit their Capabilities Statement. THIS NOTICE DOESNOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BYTHE GOVERNMENT FOR ANY PURPOSE OTHER THAN MARKET RESEARCH. The NACIS code for thisprocurement will be 334513- Instrumental and related Products Manufacturing, Displaying,and Controlling Industrial Process Variables.NASA desires that those companies expressing an interest in the aforementioned synopsisprovide a written Statement of Capabilities that address high level alternatives andgeneral, market-based approaches for performing the functions described in this sourcesough notice. NASA would prefer that the written submissions not contain confidentialbusiness or financial information relating to specific companies. Responses should bebased on the material contained in this announcement and any other relevant informationthe contractor thinks is appropriate. Responses shall not exceed ten (10) single-sided,Times New Roman 10-pitch font, single-spaced pages.Although all comments received will be carefully reviewed and considered for inclusion inany possible later action, the initiators of this request make no commitment to includeany particular recommendations. Respondents will not be notified of the results of thereview. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. Ifa solicitation is released it will be synopsized in the FedBiz Opps and on the NASAAcquisition Internet Service. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internetsite for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
