Description

Veteran's Administration Medical Center 7305 North Military Trail West Palm Beach, FL 33410 Drive Sheave 8 Band and Bushings-Baltimore AirCoil Company-Engineering 08/12/2011 NOTICE OF INTENT: The VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach, FL intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Baltimore AirCoil Company, Inc. 7600 Dorsey Run Road, Jessup, MD 20794-9328, to procure the BAC Factory Authorized Drive Sheave 8 Band and Bushings for one of the Cooling Towers utilized at this facility. This is to replace the current parts that have prevented the cooling tower from being operational. Baltimore AirCoil Company, Inc. was found to be the vendor available to provide this equipment to the West Palm Beach Medical Center that will not void the current warranty on the parts and components of the Baltimore AirCoil Cooling Towers. This is a critical component required of this equipment in order for the cooling towers to operate. This is a notice of intent for Sole Source procurement under Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). The associated NAICS Code is 333415. This is a Notice of Intent and is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than noon, August 22, 2011 and all responses will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
