Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Health Effects Laboratory Division (HELD), Pathology and Physiology Research Branch (PPRB), hereby announces its intent to issue a purchase order to Thermo Fisher Scientific, Cellomics, Inc. for the Cell Insight Platform with Insight One and Store Standard Edition (SE), P/N N01-1112. Traditional methods of assessing toxicity in vitro measure single targets in homogeneous formats and have a record of low predictive power. The Cell Insight Platform system is a complete solution for in vitro toxicology (IVT) assessment for screening and profiling cells for toxic effects and action-mechanisms. This Platform leverages proven technologies for automated cellular imaging and analysis to measure multiple toxicity indicators in each cell of the exposed population. Combined cellular outputs are automatically compared between treated and untreated cell populations, providing accurate measurement of the localization and correlation of key toxicity effects. Responsible sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are encouraged to submit to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the posting of this notice, their written capabilities statement, in the format they choose, not to exceed 10 pages. Forward to Denise Rains, 315 East Montgomery Avenue, Spokane, WA 99207, fax (509)354-8099, or email dgr8@cdc.gov. All vendors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registry (CCR) prior to award of a federal contract. The website is www.ccr.gov. The Government will review any/all capabilities statements submitted and determine if other qualified sources do exist that could provide this requirement. Information received in response will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), negotiations will be held Cellomics, Inc., a part of ThermoFisher Scientific, 100 Technology Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15210 as the only source and a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
