Description
An/PRC-152 Multi Band Hand Held Radios with H-250 Handsets This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. The Air Force will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. This FedBizOpps notice is an announcement seeking market information on businesses capable of providing the product as described herein. 6th Contracting Squadron (6 CONS) is currently conducting market research to determine qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. For the purpose of this RFI the anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334220, Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing, and the small business size standard is 750 employees. The 6th Contracting Squadron (6 CONS) is seeking qualified sources that can provide the TacSat PRC-152. The TACSAT package will provide: Two (ea) stand-alone two-way radio communications nets with Radio-over-Internet Protocol (RoIP) connectivity between a base station and forward deployed units for Command and Control (C2) and Logistical support. To accommodate special mission requirements, the TACSAT Package provides hardware, radio frequency connectivity, Radio-over-Internet Protocol connectivity, and up to two additional data and imagery services as required. Salient Features • Utilize two (2) each An/PRC-152 Multi Band Hand Held Radios with H-250 handsets • Contain one (1) each General Dynamics MR1 GoBook computer with a Windows XP Professional OS and a minimum of 40GB solid state storage. Software will include: Microsoft Office Suite, Harris High Performance Waveform Messaging, Harris Integrated Waveform, Adobe Suite, Radio Over IP licenses. • The TACSAT NANO package will contain 2 small lightweight multi band amplifiers operating in 30MHZ - 512 MHZ capable of handling a maximum 5 watt input with an adjustable output up to 20 watts. The amplifiers will have the capability to be remoted within 1 foot of the antennas or operated within the radio case. • The package will have the ability to maintain 2 charged batteries providing a grab-and-run radio capability • The package will contain two (2) independent power supplies with the capability of accepting 100-260VAC and 12-36VDC. • The package will have a built-in Uninterruptable Power supplies with the capability of providing 48hrs of power • The package will have the ability to support 6 additional stand alone radio nets utilizing Radio over IP (RoIP) architecture • The package will contain 1 set of antennas per radio. Antenna VHF/UHF Whip (13.5in) ; Antenna, SATCOM AV-2125 Coat Pocket • The package must be Mil Std 810G compliant • The package will be in a lockable overhead checkable case IAW IATA regulations • Accessories will include: -Cable Synchronous Side Connector Harris P/N 12041-7110-A1 -Cable. PPP Data Harris P/N 12041-7180-A006 -Antenna Adapter Harris P/N 12049-0500-01 -Mission Fill Kit Harris P/N 12041-1040-01 Additional information and instructions include: The government encourages and appreciates responses from all capable and qualified sources including, but not limited to universities, university affiliated research centers, and private or public companies. This RFI is soliciting detailed White Papers describing current or near future capabilities in the form of hardware and software to meet the objective of a small digital video broadcast and limited data collaboration system capable of operating over any IP Satellite modem solution. The White Papers must address the full scope of development or current capabilities meeting this unique challenge. The Capability Statement should include general information and technical background describing your firm's experiences in contracts requiring similar efforts. Interested parties shall not submit more than 10 single-sided, type-written pages using 12-point type or larger. Published literature may be any number of pages. Additionally, all interested parties should submit a Microsoft PowerPoint slide presentation, not to exceed three slides, addressing the technical aspects of the response. Two slides are to be used for a bulleted summarization of the information presented in the written submission. Figures not included in the written submission may be inserted into the space available on these slides. The third slide is to visually and succinctly indicate the new insights motivating the proposed effort, the main objectives, the underlying technical mechanisms, fundamental assumptions and limitations, key innovations, expected impact, and other unique aspects of the proposed effort. Request Capability Statements include the following: 1. Company name, address, point of contact (POC), telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, NAICS code, GSA schedules held or any other GWAC, company size (small, large business); if small, indicate type (8(a), SDVOSB, small disadvantaged business, HUBZone, minority-owned, woman-owned, veteran-owned, etc.). 2. Technical areas a. A discussion of the capability/challenge addressed (from your perspective) b. A technical description of the capabilities meeting the operational challenge c. Examples of success d. Identify current data (if any) e. Market readiness 3. Demonstrate ability to provide employees with required security clearances for configuration, implementation and testing of equipment, site survey and training to ensure the product is successfully operational. 4. Past/Current Performance Background as it relates to the requirement as outlined in this RFI, to include: a. Contract identification number(s) b. Title and a brief summary of the objective of the effort c. Contracting agency or firm (Government or commercial) d. Value of the contract(s) e.
