- The U.S. Census Bureau is seeking Request for Quotations for the following Custom Display for Mobile IT Demonstration, under Far Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Please see the attached specifications for more details and information: Custom Display for Mobile IT Demonstration Specifications The intent of the custom display is a continuous display area enabling 4 users to sit at the display simultaneously. The display must be Section 504/508 compliant. The display will consist of 4 separate stations each with their own monitors, cabinets for storage and wire/power management, and frames to display static information which must be easy to access to change the printed content. There will be a continuous countertop. Below the countertop there will be 2 lockable storage areas contained in a cabinet for each of the 4 stations. The cabinets will have a green accent color. The final color is to be selected after award by Census. The rest of the display will be white other than the area above the counter which should be finished in an accent of a silver, metallic where the monitors and frames are mounted. The final accent for this area will be selected by Census after award. A kick plate must be installed along the bottom of the entire display including the cabinets. The custom fabricated freestanding four station display will be installed alongside a wall consisting of drywall, with the following features: - the overall length is approximately 27' to 30' long, 28 " deep by 80" tall - the display must have a lockable audio-visual cabinet. The cabinet must come with a standard 19 inch rack installed and possess a minimum of 9 rack units worth of equipment mounting space. The cabinet must allow easy access to the front and rear of the rack. The cabinet will require a minimum of two vents (minimum 6 inches by 12 inches) and one fan (smaller than 8"x8"x2", 40-70 dBA, 80-140 CFM, AC power) for air circulation. - the display must have a power management system that supports distribution of power from 15A/120V outlets in floor boxes beneath the display. The display power management system will support distribution with hidden wires and outlets to the display monitors for each station, the shallow cabinet, the table top power Extron Hideway 822 for each station, and the audio-visual cabinet. The display will accommodate an Extron Hideway 822 to be installed into the table top for each station. The Extron Hideway 822 will be supplied and installed by Census. - each of the (4) monitor areas/stations has the following: -includes grommets for passing (hidden) monitor, audio and AV cables into the table top Extron Hideway HAS 822, the shallow cabinet located in the station and the audio-visual cabinet - a kick plate is provided along the boot of all cabinets - lockable storage cabinet to the left of the space - this is laminated in a white laminate with a green accent color. Final color selection to be determined by Census after award. - an adjustable shelf -To create a more seamless appearance the white laminate will have a solid white core and backer on all exposed edges (a brown phenolic backer will not be used) - a lockable pencil drawer with a different lock than the storage cabinets - a shallow cabinet is included to the right of the space - the finish is white laminate - the shallow cabinet will allow for the monitor wires to be accessed below the counter - this cabinet is not locked - the back of the cabinet will be open to the wall - a low profile power and data wire management system is in the cabinet and is connected to the monitor (to be wired by the client) at each presentation area - four electrical outlets rated for 15A/120VAC with a 9 foot cord - one HDMI female to female connection - one dual Cat5e RJ45, and hard wire on the back - one dual USB A/B connection - each monitor area includes grommets for passing monitor cables into the shallow cabinet - counter top is 34" tall, 24" deep and spans the overall length of the display (27'-30' long) - this is laminated in white to match the existing work stations - the counter top must be able to accommodate one Extron Hideway HAS 822 (Extron Part# 60-570-01) and provide cable management and a cable path from each HAS 822 to the audio-visual cabinet. The Extron Hideway 822 will be supplied and installed by Census. - monitor backgrounds are 46" tall by approximately 80" long (all fours stations and their monitor backgrounds will be the same length) - the background is finished in silver aluminum. Final color selection to be determined by Census after award. - the background panel has a white accent - the bottom and left side is laminated in a contrasting accent color. Final color selection to be determined by Census after award. - there are two curved modular frames that hold an 11" by 17" graphic behind a clear lens - additional lens, six (6) per area are stored in the lockable pencil drawer below along with the additional keys to access the graphic area - Census is providing (4) 22" and (4) 40" monitors, along with flat panel wall mounts, cables and doing the wiring. (Sharp SHALC40LE830U 40" monitor, LG LGELG22LV2500 22' monitor) - the freestanding display will enable the monitors to be positioned ‘flush' with the background. (Sharp SHALC40LE830U 40" monitor, LG LGELG22LV2500 22' monitor) - the freestanding display must be capable of accepting a large screen wall mount (Chief MSTU Thinstall Universal Fixed Wall Mount 26-47 inch displays) and a 40 inch monitor weighing up to 60 lbs. A hidden cable path must be provided to route power and audio/visual cables to the monitor. - the freestanding display must be capable of accepting a small screen wall mount (Chief FSRV Small Flat Panel Fixed Wall Mount) and a 22 inch monitor weighing up to 30 lbs. A hidden cable path must be provided to route power and audio/visual cables to the monitor. - the position of frames and monitors to be determined by Census after review of scale drawings and renderings -proposal must include detailed color renderings and scale drawings of the design and time allotted for Census review - must include delivery and installation of the display during normal working hours Monday thru Friday -a post award onsite visit is required to confirm the route of materials to the site through the building and to survey and confirm site dimensions and placement of the display at the site. The display must be fabricated in pieces and assembled on site. - the display must be section 504/508 compliant Production Schedule: Entire project from design to installation to completed within 30 days from receipt of Census provided purchase order and laminate color selections. Interested companies should submit, in writing, their Request for Quotation, to rhonda.m.talbert@census.gov, within 10 days of this notice.
