Description
MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD DATE: August 9, 2011 SUBJECT: Questions and answers on air compressor system RFQ Question 1: What connections are needed for the UALs? Answer 1: An AN#4 female fitting is needed on the end of the whip. The UALs are equipped with an AN#4 male fitting. Question 2: What air quality is required? Answer 2: No special purification equipment is needed. Your standard purification equipment will be sufficient at this time. The UALs, LALs and test equipment units have built in filtration systems. Question 3: What is the low pressure of the two gas cylinders for the Ammunition Loading Systems? Answer 3: Typically the tanks are refilled when they get down to between 400-500 psi. Both tanks for these units will therefore need to be refilled from 400-500 psi to 3000 psi and our preference is that this would only take a few minutes. Question 4: If a cascade bottle storage system is used how many tank/cascade bottles are desired and how would you prefer to secure them. Answer 4: The number and size of bottles needed should be determined by the amount of time it will take to fill the cylinders. Also, we are currently not certain where the compressor and storage bottle/tanks will be installed so please quote the cost for a storage rack and/or wall clamps separately. Question 5: What time duration is the desired 30 cfm flow rate for the TS404B/D test set required to flow? Answer 5: The testing takes 30 minutes to complete. Question 6: What length of hose would you like on the whip? Answer 6: Minimum of 5 ft. All other aspects of the Solicitation/Request for Proposals remain unchanged. *****LAST ITEM***** __________//signed//__________________August 9, 2011 Gregory P Johnson, Contract Specialist (Date) South Dakota Air National Guard 1201 West Algonquin ST Sioux Falls, SD 57104-0264 Gregory.johnson.5@ang.af.mil Phone 605-988-5932 FAX 605-988-5997
