Description

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS intends to issue a sole source award to Teledyne Webb Research, East Falmouth, MA under the authority of 10 U.S.C. (c) (1) in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Teledyne Webb Research is the manufacturer of the equipment. The requirement is for four (4) APEX floats with APF-9I (Iridium SBD using port 25), with Seabird CTD Model 41CP, Iridium telemetry, alkaline batteries, ready to deploy, and rated for 2000m operating depth. The quote was solicited orally and the resulting contract will be firm fixed price with an eight (8) month delivery period. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any inquires concerning this requirement is to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer.
