Description

ETO Abators Durham VA Medical Center The Department of Veterans Affairs, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, North Carolina has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, license and qualified supervision for Project ETO Abators at the Durham VA Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina. The work will consist of site investigation/verification, construction design, general construction, site work, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work necessary to install (2) 3M ETO abators. The abators will be government furnished property and will be given to the contractor once the project has started. The abators will sit behind the existing ETO sterilizers and any existing equipment will have to be moved to accommodate the ETO abators. Electrical will need to be provided from the nearest electrical panel to the abators. Verification needs to be made to determine if existing 2" copper lines and ductwork will accommodate new abators. If existing ventilation will not accommodate new abators, new ventilation will need to be run to discharge at 5th floor roof adjacent to existing ETO vents. Final tie-ins will be done by 3M. All electrical, compressed air, and vent connections will need to be within 3 feet of the sterilizers. All work performed must meet all applicable codes and regulations and be in strict accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, and manufacturers installation guide. The period of performance is 120 calendar days for the entire project. Estimated construction cost is between $25,000 and $100,000. This is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Bidding material/drawings will be available on/about August 22, 2011. The specifications, drawings and amendments/notices, if any, will be posted on this web site. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice.
