- The Cherokee National Forest has a requirement for a trail dozer and trailer to be fabricated, furnished and delivered to the Unaka Work Center, 9344 Asheville Highway SR70, Greeneville, TN 37743. PROJECT TITLE: Purchase Trail Dozer for Cherokee National Forest. This solicitation identified as AG-4756-S-11-0041 is issued as a Request for Quotation using simplified acquisition procedures. Issue date of this synopsis/solicitation is August 5, 2011. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SET-ASIDE: This solicitation is a Total Small-Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS code is 333120; the applicable small business size standard is 500 employees. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Interested sources shall provide a price for the trail dozer and for the trailer to haul the dozer, price should include shipping and handling charges for FOB-Destination for the following: Trail Dozer with blades and rippers and adjustable gooseneck trailer to accommodate the machine. Minimum 15,000 lbs adjustable gooseneck full tilt bed that meets Federal DOT Commercial Trailer specifications DELIVERY: Trail dozer and trailer will be delivered to Unaka Work Center - Cherokee National Forest, 9344 Asheville Highway SR70, Greeneville, TN 37743. Quotes will be evaluated on technical capabilities, price, past performance (customer references), machine serviceability and durability and delivery date. A fixed price contract will be awarded from this solicitation. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement, price, past performance, experience and delivery date. (c) A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Before the offer's specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award.
