- Description
- The following questions are hereby posted for your review and submittal. Regarding the Parade Field Canopies Question 1: The statement of work does not mention the loud speakers, fans, nor misting Systems currently attached to the canopies. Are those to be reinstalled? Answer 1: The Government will remove the loud speakers, fans, and the misting systems that are attached to the canopy prior to start of project (and re-install after the project is completed). Please ensure we can run the cables through the beams. Question 2: From what we saw there are 9 canopies that need replacing would you like for us to price the additional one as well? Answer 2: No, Please provide only quote for the current request. Question 3: The SOW states there are 8 canopies that need repair, 9 were observed at the site visit. How many structures need to be priced? Answer 3: Please provide quote for the current request. Question 4: After observing the damaged frames, it doesn't seem feasible to repair only part of the frame because it may not solve the problem and may result in costs greater than or equal to replacing the entire structure. Contractor advises to replace the structures entirely. Answer 4: Please provide quote for the current request. Question 5: It appears most of the foundations where the columns sit are fairly level. Is there a tolerance for reusing the existing foundation columns? Answer 5: The Government does not have the tolerance data. See attached SOW item 2.1. Question 6: Demo and re-installation of existing electrical component attached to column? Answer 6: The Government will remove the loud speakers, fans, and the misting systems that are attached to the canopy prior to start of project (and re-install after the project is completed). Please ensure we can run the cables through the beams. Question 7: Demo and re-installation of existing audio component attached to column? Answer 7: The Government will remove the loud speakers, fans, and the misting systems that are attached to the canopy prior to start of project (and re-install after the project is completed). Please ensure we can run the cables through the beams. Question 8: Temporary fencing for protection of visiting families? Answer 8: The Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with industrial, environmental, and OSHA standards. Question 9: Due to conditions on construction site, landscaping may be damaged. Do we price for landscaping? Answer 9: Pricing under these conditions may be included in price, as required. Question 10: Also, are we working on one or two sections at a time? Answer 10: This will be coordinated with the Government at the time of performance. Note: At this time, the 802 CONS/LGCA is not receiving any more questions. Thank you for your interest on this project.
