Description

A draft solicitation is being released with this announcement for industry review and comment. Additionally, a draft technical performance specification for the Hybrid Electric Drive for Backfit on the DDG 51 is now available by following the Technical Data Package (TDP) link on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, https://www.neco.navy.mil/ under solicitation number N0002411R4207. The technical specification will be posted with restricted access controlling sensitive but unclassified document packages (limited to US DoD and US DoD contractors only) and recipients of this information must exercise good judgment on what parts of this technical information they deem necessary to share with suppliers who meet the requirements of the distribution statement. Comments are requested to be submitted in writing by 11 August 2011. All inquiries should be emailed to tara.borntreger@navy.mil. The address of the Industry Day planned for August 5, 2011 has been changed to Computer Sciences Corporation, Conference Rooms 214/215/216, Maritime Plaza One (MP1), Suite 200, 1201 M. St., S.E.. Washington, DC 20003.
