- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-797-11-RP-0184, for an unrestrictive procurement for Losartan Tablets, for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), Indian Health Service (IHS), Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) and Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and all option 2 state Veteran Homes. The estimated annual usage is as follows: 120,977 bottles of 100mg Tabs in 30s; 344,252 bottles of 100mg Tabs in 90s; 12,501 bottles of 100mg Tabs in 1000s; 69,097 bottles of 25mg Tabs in 90s; 10,120 bottles of 25mg Tabs in 1000s; 132,641 bottles of 50mg Tabs in 30s; 192,150 bottles of 50mg Tabs in 90s; 16,464 bottles of 50mg Tabs in 1000s. The contract period will be for one year plus four pre-priced one-year option periods. The items must be awarded in an aggregate for continuity of care and patient safety. The contract items will be distributed through the VAs ™ and DoDs ™ respective Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Programs. Offerors must state the exact name (name that appears on label) by which the drug will be supplied and have a unique NDC number. Tablets must be compatible with automated dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.). If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted stating that the manufacturer will provide this product to the offeror and the agreement shall remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Solicitation No VA-797-11-RP-0184 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about August 23, 2011 with a closing date of 9/7/2011. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325412. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available, and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
