- Description
- FSR No. 2258 M.P. 3.0 & 3.4 Fill Repair. The Olympic National Forest, Washington, intends to acquire by contract repair of Forest Service Road (FSR) No. 2258, at M.P. 3.0 & 3.4. WARNING: Buried power and fiber optic lines are located under the roadway at project site. These are within the construction limits and will need protection during construction activities. Excavation shall not begin until Contractor coordinates with the Grays Harbor PUD (360-538-6377) and Century Link (360-374-2322) for line location and protection measures. Location services are available at 800-424-5555. The project consists of the following major items of work: mobilization: reconstruction of the roadway; including installation of a mechanically stabilized earth wall; clearing & grubbing; installation of new 24-inch pipe; haul of excavated material; aggregate placement; seeding and mulching. This project is located on the Pacific Ranger District of the Olympic National Forest, Section 25, Township 22 North, Range 11 West W.M., near Hoquiam, Washington. Project site may be reached by traveling north from Hoquiam on HWY 101 for approximately 29.0 miles to FSR No. 2258 (Quinault Ridge Road). Proceed approximately 3.0 and 3.4 miles to project sites. Contract period of performance is from July 16, 2012, to November 15, 2012. Project Manager is Mr. Guadalupe Cisneros, 360-956-2353. The government will proceed to issue a solicitation as a Request for Proposals. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated value is between $50,000 and $100,000. No bid bond is required. If the contract price is less than $150,000.00, only payment protection is required. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. This solicitation will be available on or about AUG 17, 2011. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
