- THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY UNDER THE PATIENT PROTECTION AND AFFORDABLE CARE ACT - PREVENTION AND PUBLIC HEALTH FUND The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a competitive task order against an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract for CDC Information Management Services (CIMS). This opportunity is available to two 8A contractors (Emergint Technologies and DB Consulting) under the CIMS multiple award contract, which was previously competed and awarded in 2010. The contractor shall collect, analyze, and document the project's subject matter and technical requirements and prepare this information for transfer to the development team. Evaluate the data collected through task analysis, business process evaluation, and interactions with subject matter experts. Prepare accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents, user interface guides, and functional specification documents. Communicate effectively with external clients and internal teams to deliver product's functional requirements such as screen, interface, and GUI designs. Document the acquired results of analysis and workflows as well as obtaining sign-off from the appropriate program staff. Coordinate plans for testing with the quality assurance staff who test, validate, evaluate system enhancements and determine issues in services and software. Manage any change requests related to the working project plans to meet the agreed deadlines. Coordinate and manage meetings, communications, and other activities that support collaborative development of new surveillance system functionality Collect, analyze, and summarize healthcare and public health literature on surveillance of adverse events and prevention practices. Provide analytic support to multi-disciplinary teams in order to accomplish public health surveillance and prevention goals. Disseminate scientific information related to (DVT/PE) and NHSN in the form of presentations, manuscripts, or other publications (e.g. newsletters, federal documents). Develop, test, and deploy NHSN and DVT/PE materials, including posters, educational slide sets, and other training materials.
