Description
The Transportation Security Administration, Office of Law Enforcement has a requirement for a fixed price contract to provide and install new countertops and floor cabinets in buildings 291C, 291D, 291F, 291G, and 291H at the Federal Air Marshal Training Center (FAMTC), William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC). The contract awardee will replace existing cabinets\countertops with new laminate floor cabinets (291F, 291G, and 291H only) and countertops with stainless steel tops and backsplashes (all buildings). The new structures will provide the same, or more, available storage, keeping within the existing cabinets' footprints. No doors or locks will be installed on any of the new floor cabinets. Appropriate matching cove base or baseboard will be installed on all new cabinets. All work will be completed within normal business hours (0700-1730, Monday through Friday). The following specifications should be adhered to:  Stainless steel shall cover, entirely, the countertop area, countertop facing, and backsplash, at a minimum and match existing countertop surface area  Backsplash should rise no more that ~4" and extend out from the wall no more than ~1", or the acceptable trade standard at time of installation  There shall be no cup, pencil, or file holders built into the stainless steel tops  There shall be penetrations made to accommodate existing wiring. This requirement is a total small business set-aside in accordance with NAICS code 238390. Contractor will be responsible for all removal and disposal of debris I/A/W/ local, state and federal regulations. The total estimated value for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.00. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of contract price are required after notification of award. Construction shall commence within 30 calendar days from date of contract with completion not to exceed 90 days from the notice to proceed. Interested parties please contact via e-mail mario.maccarone@dhs.gov by Thursday Aug 4, 2011 by 11:00 am EST to attend a site visit scheduled for Tuesday, Aug 9, 2011 at 10:00 am. All parties will meet at the Security Operations Center of the William J. Hughes Technical Center. Solicitation packages will be distributed at the time of the site visit.
