Description
J&A 6.302-1 THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. BAE Systems Electronics, Intelligence & Support, Electronic Solutions, Nashua, N.H., is being awarded a modification to the previously awarded firm-fixed-price Contract N00019-10-C-0069 for the exercise of Full Rate Production (FRP) Lot 1 Option for the Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures (IDECM) AN/ALE-55 subsystems embedded in the F/A-18 E/F aircraft. Exercise FRP-1 Option provides Fiber Optic Towed Device Rounds (FOTD) and Electronic Frequency Converters (EFC), hereafter referred to as the ALE-55 Subsystem. This procurement will require the contractor to accomplish recurring and non-recurring engineering efforts in order to fabricate, assemble, test, and deliver the component hardware of the ALE-55 Subsystem and integrate the ALE-55 Subsystem into the Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures (IDECM) System. As BAE Systems is the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of the IDECM System, they are the only qualified source with the requisite knowledge of the associated design requirements and tradeoffs that can perform this effort while maintaining commonality with the IDECM System. A technical data package suitable for competition does not exist for these requirements and to attempt to develop such a package could result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the Navy's requirements. Please direct your requests for Small Business Opportunities to BAE Systems, point of contact Sean P. Fleming, at (603) 885-8676, or email sean.p.fleming@baesystems.com.
