If a solicitation is released, it will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Website, (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/). Interested parties are advised to monitor this website for any information that may pertain to this RFI. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. **All inquires and responses to this RFI shall be made via email to Ms. Donna Y. Ferguson, Contract Specialist, donna.y.ferguson@eur.army.mil and Mr. Attila Kovacs, Contract Specialist, attila.z.kovacs@eur.army.mil. The subject of the email shall be: "RFI-Electric Vehicles." Please provide brochures, websites etc. Purpose The intent of this RFI is to obtain information from industry with regard to purchasing all items from one vendor. Feedback from industry is requested to determine if the specifications listed below will meet the mission as described or does industry have suggestions as to other vehicle specifications. Scope The government is seeking Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) electric vehicles per specifications listed below. Mission Requirements and Specifications Vehicle #1 -- 60" long electric platform truck (QTY 2) Mission Requirements: Initially these platform trucks will be utilized to transport and move heavy items in and around the temporary storage facility being established to house and secure V Corps equipment. The electric motor, height, and length of the trucks make them ideally suited for downloading, uploading, and transferring large items between shelving and trucks. Once the V Corps mission is complete, the trucks will be used for daily missions such as to deliver mail, copy paper, and other office materials to the different work areas within the MCC. Specifications: 60L X 27W (IN), Moto-Cart Electric Platform Truck 1,500 lb capacity, 25" x 41.5" useable platform Deck height: 11-1/2" off floor Handle 1,000 lbs on a 6 degree incline Travel up to 15 miles on a single charge Heavy duty 24 volt electronics and drive motor, roller grip controls, battery gauge, emergency stop bump switch, horn, articulated transaxle drive, center wheel drive for easy maneuvering. On-board battery charger, two maintenance free batteries, anti skid deck mat, and bumper molding. Max speed 2.6 mph. Include a top shelf unit, mailroom basket Vehicle #2 -- Electric Forklift (QTY 2) Mission Requirements: This equipment will be employed to move palletized and over sized items. As V Corps equipment is positioned forward from Heidelberg to WAAF, these forklifts will be a critical component of the unit's capability to both download and upload large items into the temporary storage facility. Unlike the unit's larger lift assets, these forklifts are safe to operate inside buildings and are more versatile at maneuvering around and in storage facilities. The enduring mission for these assets will be typical warehouse operations like receiving and storing classes of supply once the MCC is occupied. Specifications: Load Capacity* (kg) 1,587.6 Voltage (V) 36/48 Maximum Travel Speed Full Load Pneumatic Tire (k.p.h.) 12.5/14.6 Maximum Lift Speed Full Load (meter.p.h.)18.6/25.3 Maximum Gradeability Full Load 3 Min. Secondly, as the MCC building manager executes daily mission requirements, these vehicles will provide a flexible and environmentally friendly option for executing short transportation requirements throughout WAAF. Procuring these carts as an alternative transportation asset is also in keeping with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) initiative that has been at the foundation of the MCC project.
