- Important Dates RFI submissions are due no later than September 07, 2011. Responses to participate in the site visit are due no later than August 05, 2011. Special Notice This is neither a request for formal Request for Proposals (RFP) or quotes. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with the development and submission of materials in response to this request. There is no solicitation available at this time. However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against NRL shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought notice or NRL's use of such information as either part of our evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement. Objective The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) is searching for potential sources that are capable of performing the requirements set forth in the attached statement of work titled MIS Near Field Antenna Range SOW. The intent of this RFI is to gauge industry interest, capabilities and relevant heritage experience to design, fabricate, install, verify and deliver a complete turnkey indoor Near-Field Antenna Measurement System (NFAMS). Location Naval Research Laboratory, 4555 Overlook Ave, SW Washington, DC 20375. Site Visit NRL will host a site visit for the purpose of allowing prospective contractors to view and assess the available space and existing condition of the parent facility. The location for the site visit will be the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC. The site visit will be scheduled for a single day during the RFI period - tentatively the week of August 15-19. The exact date will be provided to those contractors who express interest in attending. NRL Report 8093 CONTRACTOR RESPONSE FORMAT The NRL asks that interested parties, at a minimum, supply the following information: Contact Information a) Name of Company and Point of Contact (POC) b)Telephone Number, Fax Number, Address and e-mail address of POC c) Business Size and number of employees Pricing and Schedule Information NRL is requesting interested contractors to provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimate of costs and delivery schedule. For the costs, it would be preferable to include a preliminary cost summary and cost breakdown by subsystem and a list of major costs drivers whose cost exceed $50,000. The NRL would also like insight into the cost difference between a shielded and non-shielded chamber. Please provide the estimated difference in cost if the chamber shielding were to be disregarded (omitting Section 3.10 and other references to shielding in the Specification). As per the schedule please make sure it includes the estimated timeframe after contract award which the onsite work would begin. Past Performance Information Please provide in the response a list of Navy, DoD, or Federal contracts supported during the past 36 months with a brief description of the supply or service provided per each contract. Only list contracts similar to those of the draft Statement of Work attached. Assumptions Please provide a list of assumptions, if any, which were considered in formulating the response.
