Description

This is a re-advertisement of the Request for Proposal VA-259-11-RP-0173 originally dated March 29, 2011. The VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare System (ECHS) Medical Center, located at 1055 Clermont Street, Denver, Colorado is soliciting offers from experienced and qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concerns capable of providing all plant, labor, tools, parts, equipment, transportation and incidentals needed to provide construction services for work that includes, but is not limited to general construction, alterations, mechanical, fire protection and electrical work, utility systems, removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items per the drawings and specifications. Some specific work shall include refurbishing existing shower rooms, correcting the air distribution system in various patient rooms, replacing all ceiling access panels, and constructing a new gypsum ceiling in the community room. Al l work will be performed in a secured area and extreme escape precautions are necessary. The project number for this acquisition is 554-11-103. The estimated construction range is between $500,000 and $1M. The Denver VA is issuing this Request for Proposal in accordance with FAR Part 15 whereby technical capabilities and past performance are approximately equal in importance as to price. NAICS Code 236220 is applicable to this acquisition with and the business size standard is $33.5M. Solicitation documents will be available electronically on or about July 29, 2011 at FedBizOpps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. NO HARD COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. Information regarding an organized site visit and pre-proposal conference will be listed in the solicitation documents. Prospective offerors are encouraged to attend the organized site visit to familiarize themselves with the project, project site and conditions which may affect your cost proposal. Only one site visit will be conducted. Upon review of solicitation documents, prospective offerors are encouraged to submit questions and comments in writing, in regards to the solicitation prior to the scheduled site visit. Solicitation number VA-259-11-RP-0173 has been assigned and shall be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement and solicitation. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR Part 4.11, prospective contractors are required to have an active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and FAR Part 4.12, prospective contractors must complete electronic on line annual representations and certifications (ORCA) databases prior to award of a contract.
