- THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Midwest Health Care System (VISN 23) Network Contract Activity (NCA) on behalf of the Minneapolis Health Care System (MVAHCS) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for completion of design-build construction project 618-11-101 "Site Prep for Canteen Coffee", at the Minneapolis VAMC, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The applicable NAICS Code is 236220 with the applicable size standard being $33.5 million. The estimated price range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The period of performance is 150 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Work is to be completed in accordance with the project drawings and specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to, providing all design-build services, labor, materials, tools and equipment to provide a new canteen coffee shop in the outpatient waiting area of the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. The coffee shop design-build shall include all site preparation requirements and contractor installation of designated equipment. The solicitation documents including specifications will be issued on or about August 10, 2011. Proposals are due 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. The Site visit is tentatively scheduled for 1:00 pm on August 15. Specific information for the Site visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. NO proposers list is maintained. Specifications and Drawings for submitting a bid will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All respondents must be registered in the CCR database (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/). Bidders must be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed.
