- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR Part 13.5, as applicable and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 1087217. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-53 dated July 5, 2011. This acquisition is not set aside for small businesses under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The appropriate NAICS code for this acquisition is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 500 employees The purchase order awarded as a result of this RFQ shall be firm fixed price, FOB destination. No advance payments are authorized. The Government will award a purchase order to the offer or whose quote offers the best value to the government The Food and Drug is soliciting for a Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography System (FPLC) meeting the following specifications:. Unicorn Software (version 6.0 or later) for transfer of all method files. An integrated fraction collector with cooling feature. Both a buffer pump and a sample pump. Ability to pump up to 25 mls/min at equal to or greater than 10 MPa pressure. Capability to run up to 5 separate buffers in one method (i.e., buffer selection valves). Outlet valve with minimum of 5 options to send fluid Integrated conductivity, UV, pH and pressure meter/sensors. Must be compatible with current AKTA accessories, including tubing and fittings. Software shall have a built-in Design of Experiment tool. Computer and monitor. Installation and training The provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offer Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The offeror shall complete only paragraph (b) if applicable, of this provision if the offeror has completed the annual representations and certifications electronically at http://orca.bpn.gov. The clause at 52.214-5, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following addenda have been attached to the clause. None. The offer must reference number solicitation 1087217. The RFQ is due in person, by postal mail, fax or email to the point of contact listed below on or before close of business on August 9, 2011, in Jefferson, AR 72079-9502.
