Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) COMPETITION FOR EXISTING LEASE LOCATION The VA currently occupies 3,000 net usable square feet (nusf) of space at Rock Valley Plaza, 4000 Blackhawk Road, Rock Island, IL 61201 for Homeless Veterans Outreach space. The current lease expires on September 30, 2011. VA is conducting a competition for alternative space and will relocate if advantageous to the Government. The cost of moving, alterations, and IT infrastructure, will be considered when determining whether to relocate. The space must be on no more than one floor, and provide between 2800 and 3200 nusf of space. On-site parking for 8 vehicles is required. A full service lease for up to 5 years (including options) with the government having 90-day termination rights after the firm term be considered. Occupancy required by October 1, 2011. To be considered, space must be within or bordering a delineated area as follows: NORTH: 45th Avenue SOUTH: 47th Avenue EAST: 45th Street WEST: 38th Street Offerors must provide evidence that properties are outside the 100-year flood plain. A market survey of properties offered for lease will be conducted by the VA. The Government is limited by law (41 C.F.R. § 102-73.55) to pay no more than the appraised fair rental value for space. RESPONDENTS ARE ADVISED THAT THE VA ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY TO AWARD A LEASE BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS ADVERTISEMENT.
