Description
Sierra Army Depot, Herlong, California intends to award, on a sole source basis in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, a firm fixed-price contract to Pall Aeropower Corporation, 10540 Ridge Road, New Port Richey, FL 34656 as follows: 1 each Right Hand Cross Shaft Seal with options for 4 each and 1 each Left Hand Cross Shaft Seal with options for 6 each. The Cross Shaft Seals are for the CH-47 Chinook Engine Air Particle Separators (EAPS). Pall Aeropower designed, developed, and qualified the EAPS as an engine filtration system for the turbine engines used on the CH-47 Chinook. Pall Aeropower is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and designer of the EAPS. The current EAPS system is a proprietary design of Pall Aeropower and only Pall Aeropower possesses a complete and detailed technical/part description of the EAPS and their manufacturing process, testing, qualification requirements/documentation. The NAICS for this procurement is 336412 with a size standard of 1,500 employees. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All responses shall be submitted in writing, to Megan Barr by email at megan.m.barr@us.army.mil or by fax at (530) 827-4722. Response to this notice must be received no later than Thursday August 24, 2011, 5:00 p.m. PST. Sierra Army Depot will not reimburse for any costs connected to supplying a response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
