Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The following statement of work pertains to Brown Fused Aluminum Oxide. A.Vendor will deliver product in pallet drum designed so one individual with a forklift can lift drum and easily empty contents into the hopper. B.Pallet drums will stay property of the vendor and will be maintained by the vendor. C.Government representative will ensure pallet drums are not damaged and secure while they are in the government's possession. D.Vendor will deliver ordered items NLT 48 hours from order being submitted. E.Vendor will pickup used media during delivery or ordered product. Used media will be processed to reclaim usable portion that meets government needs and the government pays procesing fee for this portion (CLIN 0002). Media will also be processed to remove Hazardous (Grit 100 or smaller). The hazardous waste portion will ber returned to Fort Stewart, Ga for proper disposal. Material left over from the recycle/reclaiming process that does not meet government needs and is not hazardous 3ill be disposed of by the vendor. To maintain historical environmental records the vendor willprovide the government with a detailed breakdown for each drum of used media submitted to the recycle/reclaiming process. The report will include: a. Total Weight b.Quantity returned as Hazardous waste (Grit 100 and smaller) c.Quantity disposed of by the vendor F.Item comes in 55 gallon drums equal to 800 lbs per drum. G.Vendor needs to be local (Georgia, SC, Florida, or Alabama) in order to comply with 48 hour delivery. This will be BPA and time will be either 3 or 5 years term.
