- ***NO QUESTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR ANSWER AFTER "23 JUL 2011" IN ACCORDANCE WITH INVITATION FOR BID (IFB), page 9, SECTION H " Special Contract Requirements." Question 1: In the walk Chiller Walk Thru of Buildings #2014 & #7359 I noticed that there were Trane Chillers and Millennium Chillers in use. Is this bid restricted to the use of any specific Chiller manufacturers? If so who is or is not acceptable? Pending Government Response: Question 2: In the walk Chiller Walk Thru of Buildings #2014 & #7359 I noticed that there were Trane Chillers and Millennium Chillers in use. Trane Chillers use R-123 refrigerants, will this product be acceptable and compatible for the equipment related to this bid? Pending Government Response: Question 3: Will you consider changing the bid day from Monday to Tuesday? Pending Government Response: Question 4: Will the government retain possession of the "demo-ed" equipment and if so will it Remove the equipment from the site? Pending Government Response: Question 7: It is our understanding that only the 6 items listed in the SOW for bldg 2014 are to be replaced along with piping or electrical modifications required to complete the replacement. Can the Supt be the QC Manager? Pending Government Response: Question 11: Who will get possession of the existing equipment (chillers, pumps etc.)? Pending Government Response: Question 12: Building 7359-Piping Plan, Detail 2/M101 Will the piping labeled "Option 1" located on the interior of the mechanical room be included in the Base Bid line item pricing? Pending Government Response: Question 13: Building 7315- Please provide specifications on the electrical utility primary tap box. Pending Government Response: Question 14: Building 7315 - Please provide specifications for the electrical metering equipment. Pending Government Response: Question 15: Building 2014 - TEMPORARY COOLING Due to the limited capacity on the existing electrical power, a water cooled temporary cooling system would be more efficient and practical than an air cooled system. Can a water cooled system be substituted for the air cooled temporary cooling system? Pending Government Response: Question 16: Building 2014 - Statement of Work, Page 2, paragraph 3.2.4- The contractor is instructed to install new piping and modify the existing piping as required for the new condenser water pumps. There is no mention of the actual point of connection. Please clarify if the point on connection will be made before the "accessories" i.e. thermometer, flow switch, differential pressure gauge, isolation valves, etc. or after the "accessories". Please provide a detail drawing similar to detail 3/M301 showing point of connection and piping accessory requirements.
