- The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals from firms having the capability to provide the item(s) listed below. This solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at https://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective bidders desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at https://ideasec.nbc.gov. No other notifications will be sent.Competition: This requirement is being solicited on a full and open competition basis. Proposals will be accepted and evaluated from small and large firms. Project Title: Storm Water Pumps - Full Park Name, City, State: Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, 11 North 4th Street, St. Louis, MO Solicitation Number: P11PS60707 -Issue Date: On or about August 4, 2011 - Closing Date: On or about September 6, 2011 - The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work includes, but is not limited to: Removal and replacement of four (4) submersible storm water pumps and controls at lift station. Existing pumps are Flygt model, 1500 gpm, 30 ft, hd; 460 VAC; circa 1971. Replacement pumps are specified as Flygt N-Model with computerized smart controllers. This project will also include removal of existing conduit and wiring and replacing with new conduit and wiring. Contractor will be required to provide a standby dewatering system to bypass the pump station when necessary and pump directly to the receiving pond through temporary irrigation piping. Preventing water entry into the building (Arch) is of the essence. Contractor will be responsible for removal and disposal of old pumps.The NAICS code for this project is 238220 and the small business size standard is $14.0 million. - Contract duration is 90 days following notice to proceed. - In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $100,000 and $250,000. - This requirement is a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is subject to the requirements of FAR Part 15. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, Section L, clause 52.236-27 Alt 1, Site Visit (Construction). Responses will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
