Description

The VA network 22 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate an open-market service procurement for the Preventative Maintenance and Inspection with Intervening Service of Government owned Burlodge Pod & B-Pod Meal Delivery System components. VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare Systems, Food & Nutrition Department is charged with handling the preparation of an estimated 23,040 meals per day for our Veterans 365 days a year. Burlodge Meal Delivery System components are distributed across the following participating facilities: "** VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System "VA Long Beach Healthcare System "Sepulveda Outpatient Clinic CLC/Hospice ** All Burlodge Pods (mobile component) are staged at VAGLA. PMI can be performed on-site at VAGLA or off-site at Contractors location. Burlodge B-Pods (stationary component) are distributed across all 3 participating facilities; PMI must be performed on-site. The Government intends to make a single award the Lowest Priced, Technically Acceptable Offeror. The Period of Performance is August 1, 2011 - July 31, 2012 base year with 4 exercisable option years for a contingent total of five (5) years. This proposed procurement is open to businesses of any size. This combined synopsis- solicitation is issued electronically at www.fbo.gov; advertised with a NAICS code of 811310; as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); on or about July 19th, 2011. The anticipated award date will be on or around August 1, 2011. To be eligible to conduct business with the Government, Contractors must be register in CCR. To register visit: www.ccr.gov.
