Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.603, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote, P11PS81390. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15. The National Park Service contemplates award of a firm fixed price contract as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation, to the quoter providing the best value to the Government. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the NPS. NAICS code: 444190 ; small business size standard: $7million. Closing date is 2pm Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Address questions regarding this solicitation to Pam Griffin at pam_griffin@nps.gov or 360-569-6541. Project consists of removing existing and providing and installing a total of 6 rollup garage doors & hardware with electric openers. Requirements for the garage doors as follows: -each door measuring 14 feet 10 inches wide x 14 feet 1 inch tall.(rough opening is 14'8' wide x 14'1" tall). New doors shall include the following:-Minimum of a R-12 insulation-Minimum of a 28 gauge steel/insulated/steel painted brown on the exterior and white on the interior-3 sections in each door with full view clear insulated glass-3 inch steel track replaced in-kind (track supports from ceiling can be reused)-Replace existing electric openers with same style half horse or larger commercial door opener-Full perimeter weather seals-All doors shall have a 5 inch diameter exhaust port in bottom panel-All doors shall have a 3 button wall station with a photo-eye for entrapment compliance-A minimum of 50,000 cycle springs-2 doors have a 6 feet lift clearance track, 2 doors have low headroom clearance track, and 2 doors are standard track-all electric work shall be completed by Washington state certified electrian. The following provision applies to this acquisition: Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors--Commercial items. FAR 52.214-31, Bidders may submit facsimile bids as responses to this solicitation. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation, Commercial Items: The government will evaluate quotes in response to this request and award a purchase order/contract to the responsible bidder whose offer conforms to this request and will be most advantageous to the Government considering price and other factors (e.g., past performance, delivery, and/or quality). Award will be made based upon the best value to the Government in accordance with procedures in FAR 13.106-2(b). Offerors are to be registered at www.ccr.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov.
