- The Government of the United States, through the Regional Contracting Office Vicenza, publicizes a full and open competition design/build for the following project: Project "Project "E8-40175-0J Repair/Refurbish Ederle Inn Pool", Caserma Carlo Ederle, Vicenza, Italy. The aim of this letter is to advertise to the largest range of companies the imminent posting of a pre-solicitation. The work subject of the solicitation consists in restoring the existing Ederle Inn Pool and replacing the existing sundeck pavement. Sundeck area around the pool shall be increased and a new children spray park shall be created. Existing bathrooms shall be renovated and increased with a new addition. Interior layout shall be completely redone and a new storage room shall be created. Work to be performed in this contract includes: fence repositioning, interior (bathroom) and exterior (bathroom and sundeck/pool) finishing, pavement replacement, pool walls renovation and pool PVC liner removal. The project includes upgrading of water, electrical, sewage, drainage, and lightning. This project shall be performed in two phases (Design & Construction). The place for the execution of work is the US Army Garrison Caserme Ederle,Vicenza, IT. The estimated amount range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. This is only an estimate. The bidders are neither expected to make an offer included within this range nor to pull down the price of the offer. Estimated Period of Performance is 240 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. This period of time is inclusive of the project design time of the awarded firm. SITE VISIT: The site visit will take place on the 03rd of August 2011, at 09:00. MEETING PLACE FOR THE SITE VISIT: Uscita A, Vicenza Est, parking lot on the left once out from Autostrada. There will be a Government vehicle that will bring you to the Caserma Ederle. We advise you to be punctual. It won't be possible to have another site visit. Only who gave us their personal data by email or already Base Pass holders will be able to have access to the base. The Government, through their guards, has the right to check the identity documents of who wants to participate in the site visit. Who has not been previously registered won't have access to the base. MISCELLANEOUS: The solicitation will be available, complete with funding, scope of work, drawings, and other necessary documentation, only to the companies interested in participating to the site visit. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Companies interested to attend the site visit must respond to the following email address francesca.zotto@eur.army.mil, writing the project number (E8-40175-0J), the name of the firm, the address, the telephone and fax number, and the email address, by the 26th of July 2011 at 15:00 PM. We ask you to provide us with all your identity data of the person who will participate to the site visit: first name, last name, date of birth, place of birth, citizenship, type of identification document and number. These data will be transmitted to the right Authorities to obtain the pass to access to the base for your firm representative.
